Baby Beginnings

Are you bringing your baby home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU)? We can help you! We started Baby Beginnings because of the families and babies that we help take care of in the NICU. These families and babies are they strongest humans we know!! We saw how stressed and overwhelmed the families were when their baby was ready to come home from the NICU, and wanted to be there for them to help support, encourage, and guide them. Baby Beginnings, LLC offers a NICU Discharge Class for this purpose--think of it as bringing your NICU nurse home with you!

NICU CARE PACKAGES

We fill our NICU Care Packages with essential items to help families through the difficult journey of the NICU.

Care Packages provide an assortment of items; lotion, hand sanitizer, lip balm, a snack/or holiday themed candy, and a gift for baby (a holiday book or swaddle blanket).

Brittany’s Baskets of Hope

At Brittany’s Baskets of Hope, we welcome new babies with Down syndrome to the world with open arms and joy in our hearts! Our founder, Brittany Schiavone, is a creative, sassy, and fabulous woman who happens to have Down syndrome. With Brittany at the helm, we’re on a mission to spread resources, hope, and love by sending “baskets of hope” to families that have recently welcomed a new baby with Down syndrome. When parents get the news that their little one will be born with Down syndrome, they often hear, “I’m sorry.” We’re not sorry! We say, “Congratulations!” Since delivering our first basket of hope in October 2016, we’ve now sent over 1,100 baskets of hope to families in all 50 states, including many to families whose journeys began in the NICU.

Preemie World

Support for preemies at every stage

Parents of premature infants are often caught unprepared by early birth, and can quickly become overwhelmed by their new child’s needs and the unfamiliar world of the NICU.

These moms and dads are thrust into a high-stress, high-stakes situation where they are expected to make decisions for their child based on medical information they have no prior exposure to. We understand the singular and often difficult position parents of premature children find themselves in after experiencing early birth.

Neonatal professionals don’t always have enough time to seek out resources to learn how to relay sensitive subjects to parents. We provide that coaching to the dedicated men and women of the NICU. We also strive to celebrate those who give so much of their time to fight the effects of premature birth.

Our mission is to build a bridge between the parenting and professional worlds that surround premature infants.
