Our Story
Penelope Project is a non-profit dedicated to those families whose babies come way before their due dates and luckily end up in an amazing NICU. We were one of those families. On December 23, 2017 we were blessed with our little angel, Penelope Marie, born at 28 weeks and not even weighing two pounds. She was nicknamed Pistol Penny, by her Mary Washington NICU nurses, as she fought for 53 days before finally coming home. Almost two years later, she is thriving in every sense and we are eternally grateful for all the care and support we received along the way.
